    remove it from PCB
    solder to adapter hc05x
    select MC68HC05X32
    press skip security if not success select MC68HC05X32 div5 then press skip security again then read

    i have a similar problem was trying to read eis with 1d69j and it read first line and failed now its just reading fffffff please help

    orange 5 clone not work good with this mask(but can read rom & rom1 fine)..... xprog works better....... be very carefuller with this mcu, is very sensitive in heat....

    i have original orange and omega, but i can only read the above mcu with omega, not ornage5.

    sadly u may have wiped it. Genuine gr8 tool it's 100% ish safe but must do security 1st.
    feel for u mate i was told how to use tool by other forum . instructions terrible

    Maybe best do an ebay search n just replace whole ecu set to fix. Not too expensive to save reputation


    Naz mate i've always done these old mercs with orange by removing - but been sum 12 months i only get newer ones now.

    Ii may be something wrong with my gear, i have never managed to read that mcu with orange zif adapter or the board, but always managed with my omega. talk soon.

    as i told, my Orange 5 (clone) some times read that mcu and some not, i notice that if i don't have very good soldering the legs in adapter i get error... after a good solder it can read the eeprom(it may be random)
    , but not write it back.......
