Default channel numbers for AJst ???

ive had f5s for a couple of months and originally had a list that when sat was selected from the sat list button i could use all sky numbers.
i now have AJs list and im trying too figure out how too use his method but can really follow it other than if im on favourite via epg then on ie the news section i can then use 1 for bbc news hd or 2 for sky news hd and i assume this applies to each favourite section.
is this the only method of using numbers with AJs list ?.

You are correct when using AJ's list with regards to selecting the channel numbers when in a specific " Favourite " category but there is also the option of changing from the " Favourites " to " All " and then you can select a channel by a number but the numbers would correspond with the channels in the order that AJ has compiled his list. If you wanted to have the channels numbered similarly to the Sky Epg then Sattv's Sky Numbered Channel List can be found in the Sticky section at the top of this thread. His current latest list which can be found in the first post is dated 30-04-14.

    thanks bigade,
i will try "all" and see how it goes and may try sattv's next time i do the list.
sattv's might be better for me as my laptop is always on when watching tv and i have bookmarked the sky guide so rather than use the epg i often just look through the guide which also give more programme info, its not for everyone but it works for me.
