    Default trying to flash 800hd

    i get up to 45% when flashing through browser, then this message appears "too much data (or bad sectors) in partition 3 (end: 04000000, pos: 04000000)" have'nt a clue what it means if i reload 1st &2nd stage via optiflasher i get socket error help! is box knackered?

    Sounds like you have some bad sectors have you tried with null modem cable and program in downloads called NCF-sim2
    Think its like having No Ca Found it will repair bad sectors and lets you flash again properly.
    Pretty sure you have same option in Dreamup to repair bad sectors using null modem cable.

    have'nt tried NCF-sim2 yet, dreamup just freezes on 1st stage-loader,box not adknowledging, just tried NCF still no joy, had another tinker around with it still no joy.when i reboot it,it goes to an image and then just keeps rebooting to same image all the time

    On Dreamup in Extras I think you get chance to repair bad sectors. Try another version of Dreamup and the patched version also try with Ethernet together.
    Also more than one version of NCF so look for the others.
