No CA means you have flashed without a boot loader so you need to flash a bootloader with a serial lead with the flash software which the name i can't remember.

You need to flash this to insert the 2nd stage boot rom. SIM2-DM800-SE-SSL84 then flash the firmware in and it should bring up the box.

    - Make sure you have a valid network cable in the box.
    - Power up and press the standby button till you see an IP address
    - Then at your computer browser, key in the IP address on that box
    - Once you have the page up, select upload and use this to flash in the 2nd stage boot rom

Hope that helps.. That is what I remember...

Thnx. was on holiday didnt follow up. My box has a miniflash function which allows me to secondary boot and re-load a firmware. i used it but wanted a good latest nfi package. anyways, i used an old one and re-edited the dreambox edit channels. was messing around with the box for WC2014. give up, i'll stick to finding links thru plugin streaming.

What you can do is to use DreamUp and hook it up with the serial cable to the box and upload the 2nd Stage rom in and after that, re-powering up the box, hold the power button, get to see if the box can get the IP address. Load it up on your browser and see if you get to see the loading firmware page and upload the new .nfi file in. Hope that helps!

Why members who keep trying (and fair dues )to help keep referring to the serial cable fix ?
The Dreambox 800 se HD does not have a serial socket its got a Mini Flash herein lies the problem

Ive found on odd occasions that if you try the patched version of Dreamup and use the enclosed Enforcer some times you can get a connection when and if you do note the ip and try to flash via the normal ethernet/web browser method
Don't forget to flash your second stage bootloader first if you get lucky
And you need to have ethernet and usb connected
The usb is normal for the PC end and a B socket for the DM
You might want to install the socket drivers the A to B can be a bit iffy some times depending on your OS
