    Default xperia l c2105 trouble

hi all, recently i got one of these phones and since i have had the bleeding thing i just cannot connect it to my computer no matter what i try. i have searched the internet for answers for days and tried multiple "fixes" but pc companion will not recognise it. i am running windows 8 enterprise n on my pc and it does charge when connected and when i plug it in it makes that little bleepy noise to inform me i have connected it. the drivers for the phone will not install either i just keep running into error messages when i try and i cannot find the drivers on the sony website nor when using Advanced Driver Updater. also since the phone did some updating nonsense the other day i am now getting no service (giffgaff). all in all very frustrating. i would like to have a go at rooting the little git but am stuck in this continuous loop of frustration

Here's a couple of things to try... but this could be a windows 8 problem.

Remove the battery from the phone (although I think that's not an option on that model). Look for a hard reset option on the internet.

Connect the phone to the PC once it's turned back on.

Goto the control panel (if you can find it) & select the device manager (if it even exists). Scroll to the USB connections & uninstall any drivers that are showing for your phone.

Unplug the phone & restart both phone & PC.

Install drivers again, then plug phone in again.

You could also try factory resetting the phone.

Best option is to bin the Sony & windows 8. Stick with 7 & try a Samsung or HTC. So much easier. With a Samsung you don't even need drivers, just connect via the same router (Wifi on the phone).

If you really want to root the git youll need this any way but its normally good and installing its own drivers
    Good luck

if you have a home network have you tried connecting the phone to your pc using wifi, i have a xperia z using an app from the play store i can connect it to my pc to transfer music and video to my phone or from phone to pc.
it works through a web browser so no need for any installation of drivers.
