Default avdi virginise corsa D ecu

    Hi Forum

I Use AVDI for key programming and was at a Vauxhall dealer today they asked if we could virginise a second hand ecu for them to fit, i was not to sure so had a quick look i had the option to read the ecu flash and write to the ecu, but don't have an virgin ecu file. Any idea's?

This could be another income stream for me they advise me the new ecu's are approx ?500.00 and second hand units are ?100.00

another thought can i virginise them on the bench with a make up obd tool?

    Thanks for your time

    Yours

If you pull the pin with avdi you may be able to reset it you can use another tool to reset it though if you have the pin

Reset mean - changing vin and adapt ecu to immo? If so , it's possible you need to read pin from immo and make security access in immo channel diagnostics and you will see options to adapt ecu , very easy and work exallent

thanks for the reply guys while I was on site I tried a few things with no real luck i will try and explain, i tried to pull the pin with avdi with no luck chose corsa d and the specific engine unmber that i remember it was a z14ep or very similar i could tell you if i was to boot up the software.

Anyway connected to the vehicle did a dtc scan found a few faults and cleared all ok still unable to pull the pin and also unable to read the flash off the original ecu I did not have a replacement flash to try I thought thats what I would need to upload to the ecu.

Sounds like you guys are telling me different.

    More advise would be appreciated

    Thanks

very simple - extract pin first from immo - dash or ecu , than try to adapt, you need to give more info on car model and year and ecu

Dont worry about reading the flash, pull the pin, reset ecu, adapt to car and then reflash and configure with tech2/mdi
