Skybox keeps restarting? - Coax wire?

Hi,

Everytime the coax wire goes in, the box restarts itself and doesnt boot up

(Same box works elsewhere)

Does anyone know a fix?

You virtually answered the question youself its your sat cable thats the problem, check connections at both ends of the cable make sure it is no shorting out, its usually at the sat receiver end the F connector becomes loose undo and make sure it is not shorting out also check the cable is not frayed along is length on rare occassion it might be a faulty LNB.

mine kept doing that but ithink it was the power cable connection. now i try my best not to touch or move the box

I had the same exact problem. I am using a cheap cable though. All I did was unscrew the connectors on the cable, cut the ends off and re-striped the cable myself, keeping it neat. Did the trick. Make sure the silver foil layer (foil is a guess, haha) doesn't make contact with the actual wire in the middle. Screw the end back on (can be hard but will go on) and plug it back in. Quite easy.
