Real read, not virtual.

I tested with Carprog 4.01 psg16 read e write link: Opel PSG16 diesel pump by OBDII - read/change mileage, read PIN, reset ECU. look here.

carprog can read OBD ,but it is immo data only - it is not ECU calibration data file.
