VCM 2 is required for latest models. It is also backwards compatible.

Ecu programming is actually a subscription service you need to purchase separately from Ford. Its cheap if you do a lot of Ford ECU programming. It also gives access to as-built data.

For the price/functionality I'd get VCM 2. You will end up buying both if you don't.

what about the hardware of VCM 2 clone ?
it is better than VCM ? because i have problems with my VCM

Vcm very good tool for it's price up to IDS v75 you don't need to register it nor go online for programming, all calibrations (up to 2013)on DVD.
You will not be able to do newest Ford's like new Ford Focus III, Mondeo V, Kuga II from 2013.

If original machine, recommend vcm ids, otherwise vcm ii, clone vcm ids very bad quality
