OK so we have heard the term IPTV being banded about but some members will be unsure what it all means and what is involved.. Attached is a PDF that came my way and goes some way to explaining things.. Neither I nor Digital Kaos has any affiliation with the authors of this 'whitepaper' its just for general interest..

IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) is a system where a digital television service is delivered using Internet Protocol over a network infrastructure, that is, a broadband connection. A general definition of IPTV is television content that, instead of being delivered through traditional broadcast and cable formats, is received by the viewer through the technologies used for computer networks, all of which employ Internet Protocol and related standards such as SNMP.
