The correct fault code is P1631 Injection Pump Malfunction 1... The fuel dosing is limited to 20 mg, and turbo is 5 % on.
Hello, I got Omega 2.2 DTI 88 kW with P1631 fault. The car starts fine, but the problem - limp mode, max fuel dosing is 20 mg... When I erase this fault and switch ignition off then on, there are no faults, but when I lock and unlock the car there is P1631 (Replace injection pump)... And the car is in limp mode.
I checked the wiring, changed the pump electronics.... Same fault exists. My question would be if someone could remove this limp mode? Its EDC15M ECM.
The correct fault code is P1631 Injection Pump Malfunction 1... The fuel dosing is limited to 20 mg, and turbo is 5 % on.
Only repair pump
Incredible, if pump is faulty need repair pump, not hide fault.
The car starts fine, the injection quantity and timing sets as the ECM requests everything is fine, just the limp mode....
Google gives translafe for this fault:
P1631 Injection Pump Malfunction 1 Injection pump control unit hardware failure (EEPROM defective)
or
Injection pump control unit hardware failure (A/D converter defective).
Effect:
Engine is stopped.
I dont see no "side effects" as described (Engine is stopped), just the limp mode...
there is 7 variants of this fault , 5 with stop engine , 2 with limp mode , one of this :
- Injection pump control unit hardware failure
Effect:
- Maximum performance will be reduced.
