    Default dead skybox f3

    hi

The skybox f3 was working fine, but the next day it wouldn't turn on and there's no light as well. I have tried different methods including the erom upgrade several times but that doesn't seem to help, comes up with set stb memory error. Any help would kindly be appreciated.

Have you tried a Factory Default Reset?
When trying said procedure make sure you select Save Changes in Box which
Will appear before carrying out said Factory Default Procedure if not sure
select all & save changes made to said box.
Once done, you will probably have to reset all your channels back into
Alphabetical order which I've covered in how to do this on Window/Page Four
Also, make sure one of the Sat's is ticked on your Sat List which you will find
in your Menu List by going through the Tools Option
Let me know how you get on

when you plug it in do you still hear like a buzz from the box? reason im asking is if you do then sounds like one of the capacitors has blown, if there is no sound tends to mean you need new psu for the box, just fixed one the other day took out the blown capacitor and soldered new one in, worked straight away.

so i assume there is no lights what so ever on the front? there is no picture on tv? and you have tried to recover box with rs232? if so then the box aint booting up so even trying to recover it wont work, sounds like new psu, can always take the cover off and check the psu inside box see how the capacitors are they should all be flat.

I've often searched for a circuit diagram for an S10/11 PSU.

I eventually found a diagram in the Silan application notes for the SD4841 which was similar to the S10 PSU. With some tipex & a pen, I eventually altered it to match.

btw...U3 is upside down in your diagram.
