Default Xentry 2014 on windows 7?

    Hi everyone!

I'm making this thread because I heard rumours about people being able to install Xentry on Windows 7 WITHOUT using virtualbox/vmware. I'm asking because I have a lappy that resisted my every attempt at installing XP....so I need an alternative. Using a virtual machine is slow, especially on this machine so that's why that's out of the picture for me. What do you guys think/heard? Is it possible or is it just a myth?

Ever since the introduction of Startkey Center it has been possible that's why they implemented it, before that starutils would need to be modded it won't display the xentry key option in the pull down tab.

If you are palnning to install it with procedures/mods from Rabih's conmen of self appointed experts then you will not be sucessful

Naw, I've used Zolookas' new guide 2i in combination with the app id 253 fix and I've managed to install 2014/1 sucessfully on xp before. But using the same method doesn't seem to be working. First of all I figured out the new guide 2i's "star insecure.exe" kills something in win7 and I have to reinstall the whole system. After removing the line related to the star insecure.exe from the batch, everything stays fine, except I can't open starutils, can't add keys and after running setup.exe from the dvd I get a message saying I need win xp to install. If I change compatibility mode to win xp, I get an error that I don't have authorization for the install....so I'm out of ideas.

I guess it disables starsecure. That annoying program that disallowed the user to open up my computer and doing things like that. But I don't think that's needed anymore since Xentry 2014 runs a user interface thingy over the default windows desktop called star diagnosis I think (you can see it running in task manager when you open it), and this function is integrated into that instead. So when you close the whole star diag interface in the task manager you'll get to your xp desktop and you're allowed to open my computer and everything else again. So in short: I don't think star insecure is necessary anymore.

Oh....I see. So it's not a good idea to remove that line from the batch then. Then perhaps there is a way to make starinsecure.exe compatibe with win7? Of only I knew what it does exactly with windows's files...

Thats's what happens at the Rabih propaganda school of conmen, they turn fiction into fact and convince all the other deciples it is fact.

I installed it intially along time ago before startkeycenter with modded starutils and a few extra mods for it to complete the install on win7 x32.With the introduction of startkeycenter it ment that the other mods to complete the install were not required since MB had now made it compatible with win7.

It can be installed on win7 x32 & x64 with the possibility of having D: E: F: as virtual drives allowing you to mount various virtual drives with difference versions of stardiag ever since MB started installing DAS on F:

If you're talking about my earlier post, then I have to point out that:
    1) I never said anything is a fact. Those are just my private observations and me taking a guess about how things work.
    2) I have no idea who Rabih is, never talked to him before.

Guessing or fishing? I've become very cynical since my time here so don't take it personally
I've never known anyone in any profession that has consistently solved problems on the premise of a guess

Update: also tried with Vista Ultimate x86, now the new guide i2 installs, and doesn't kill win7, but I can't start the star utils it installs. I guess I need start key center instead but the installer quickly says that this system is not windows xp and closes. I can't get to the part where start key center installs and asks for the keys. Is it possible to install start key center first, input the keys, and start the installer after in win xp mode?
