I have a job for the university, which is to tune an old fiat marea.
I know this is a mono motronic ecu, wanted to know what is the chip used? which chip to buy? and it have socket, or if I have to unsolder.
its like an old bmw 318is?

i think it is a 1.7.3, but I'm not sure that is it. how can I be sure?

that one is worse than 87c257 is a 87C510
you got to get one board to convert in 27c512 or 27sf512

my teacher said that the only thing I can do is read the chip and saved him.
so i need to buy another one to program.
if i can get new one 87c510, i can erase with UV light and program again, right?
that board is to solder in ecu? and than i do read and write on 27c512?
where can i buy that board?

for a student you are a little lazy !
for read a write I think you need one adapter for your programmer , and to convert UV latch eprom into electrical erasable like 27sf512 you need a sockt board to convert it .

i make the board to convert the eprom.
this is the table map? begin - 0xAB00 end - 0xAC17
why this map's don't follow the rules? identifier, size of y, yy's, size x, xx's and then the table values...
for ex:
BF 1D is a map? BF 1D is recognized as a bosch map, but i think its wrong.
And the alleged maps that are after don't have axis?
