i cycled from Stamford in Lincolnshire to Kutna Hora in the Czech Republic in 2005.. Took 11 days in total.. was great fun.. The flats of Holland, the hills of germany and the mountain climbs to the czech border.. had all the Lance Armstrong Discovery lycra gear, claude butler racer and everything..

I'll watch it if its on but i dont know much about the guys on the bike..

    EDIT..

I knew i had the pic somewhere from the local Stamford rag..

    Respect for that ride mate.

Every summer I think of doing the end to end but never get round to organising owt. And it never helps when i mention it to mrs P and she pulls one of her faces.

Love the Tour and watch as much as i can. Wonder if Lance Armstrong fancies his chances apparently lots of unrest in his team. Interesting to see how him and Contador fair in the mountains.

Tomorrow is the big day (Friday), there's gonna be some fireworks in the first mountain stage. Youve got Contador and Armstrong battling for team leader and riders like Cadel Evans desperate to claw back lost time.

Possibly, whoever wins the stage Armstrong and Contador are gonna try and put some time into each other.

I hope Evans surprises em and takes it.
