Carprotool Is it any good

Looking to buy the carprotool as I need to read data from Mac72**, mac71** & Renesas fitted in airbag modules.

Is this tool worth it? Can it do what it says it can? I understand internet connection is required but any other issues with this hardware?

Any other solution available?

Internet isn't main concern although would be better without it, just wanted to make sure it can do what it said it can do.

also noticed it has units left? and days? do you pay to topup the units and what happens when the days runs out?

have sent same question off to carprotool for their reply.

Flipping heck their support is terrible, in fact not really support just general communications. Ask questions three different ways and still not had a reply.....

for reading and writing mcu you must buy authorization for mcu family - if you buy it then you have ia always and not need pay more, internet connection is only for protect soft&hardware. i use it long time and working perfect with nec v850 and mac mcu's

Now you can also by carprotool read / write / crash remore in Toyota Subaru Honda with cpu renesas h8sx

I think that all who know what is programmer and cpu on pcb, know all what need for cpu reading and writing. :-)
