this means that if we set that ID STRING to any cheap vag-com 409.1 kkl interface , it will work with galletto software?

first, the vag com interfaces are based on ft232bm, which doesn't have attached an external eeprom, so you have to modify it.

one vag com interface si 12$ and galletto is 25$ . so there's not big difference.

but the problem with the galletto is that it don't work as the vag com interface for diagnostic, i think because it doesn't have the l-line connected.

    Maybe...
I've copied the cd content on my computer and then run new serial.exe. Ecu data is read but at 100% I get the error and the file isn't saved.
Is there anything that need to be installed before first run?

    Thanks

nope, you installed ok, maybe your windows directory path is too long or has strange chars and the program can't write the file. try copying the software closer to the root of one drive and run from there.

did you remove the instrument cluster fuse?
To read/write some VAG cars you need to remove that fuse,i don't remeber the number i think is 12.

can you tell us where did you bought them?

the only problem with logan are the petrol ones, which have Siemens ECU , and they need L-line for wakeup. Not all Gallettos have L-line connected.

    The same trouble.
Recently I've received Galletto 1260, based on FT232RL and with L-Line connected. But it can't connect with Logan, giving me "ERROR SEND WAKE"...
Photos attached (I also tried to connect K and L directly, as shown on the pic, but no result).
