Flashing problem

I have been trying to flash one of my Dreambox 500c. The green light is on at the front of the box and dreamup recognises the box but the progress bar (green line) does not move. I do know that my copy of dreamup is ok as I have flashed my other box. The box also shows no signal on TV screen. Hope someone can help

try and earlier version of dream up
or dream up patched

try flash erase with dream up several times to remove any part of old image that may have been left in the dm's 500 memory
then flash new image (I sometimes flash erase 10 times before new flash)
this has worked on dm 500s and 500c for me

Check the serial port ribbon cable inside the DM500C back bracket, as long one of the cable wires broke, there will be issue performing the flashing.
