    Default Audi Leaking Boot

    on the off chance that anyone knows a solution to the boot on a 1990 audi 80, filling with watter when it rain's, iv checked all the seals and it seems to be fine, but everynow an-again it fills up

    Check the rear lights mate they r favourite on the 80's for letting in water

    iv replaced the seals on the light's
    other than that im at a total loss ,
    its also been leaking into the rear driver's side footwell,

    any chance its the sunroof ?

    Default Try this.....

    Sprinkle talcum (baby) powder around the area you think the leak is, then when the water runs you will clearly see where it is coming from or indicate another area for more talc to be applied. Then just hoover up the surplus

    Quite possibly, one of my friends had the same problem with his Mk1 Golf... just open the sunroof and check that the drains are clear (one in each corner). You'll need a fairly long bit of stiff wire, as the front pipes go down the front pillars, and the rear drains go down the rear pillars.

    you could just pour water down each sunroof drain and make sure it comes out the underside of the car should be from behind the front wheels and infront of the back wheels
