A6 2004y dash swap ?

hi,
i need to swap dash audi a6 2004y MM 4F0 920 900S with dash a6 MM 2006y 4F0 920 930C , after install i have SAFE on lcd and fault code component protection active , can some one please copy CS from original dash file to remplacement one both are 95160 eprom.a6.rar

Adaptation via obd2 only, with AVDi/FVDI or ODIS online.

i did try with fvdi but need gatway eprom original from car that came replacement dash wich i dont have to verginise .
can original avdi do it without need of gatway eprom ?

No it can not, You have to have Can Gateway form car that you installing cluster. You do not need to have one from replacement cluster.

If car gateway cannot be read via obd2, then software will ask about dump. You need ONLY gateway from car that you install dashboard.

Yes it does, but like LUPU said if read automatic form car then it will not ask for it.But in some cases will ask you to load CGW eeprom dump.
With out Can Gateway not possible to adopt new cluster or have this AUDI work with anything.CGW is the bran of the car for information.

Also, use FVDI V18. If using V21, there is a bug with CP and will not adapt to GW. GW read/flash by OBD2 fine with AVDI/FVDI 18 on 2004 A6. Only some newer GW not supported by OBD2. I have genuine AVDI, but had this issue/experience with FVDI in the past as well.

ok today did read eprom 95320 from car gateway use fvdi same probleme cant virgine second hand dash it ask for dump from gateway in car from came second hande dash .
