I am not sure, but in the actual data sheet of SK14-TP the manufacturer is referring to SK14-LTP as a replacement.

Hello everyone. Someone will tell you how to make FW copies of my Kess v2. I have a segger jlink v9. I have already made copies of the sd and I want to make copies from NXP. Thanks for the help in advance.

How version software yuor KESS have? If version KESS 4.036 or 5.017 jlink will not help.

Yes, this version, with NXP LPC2478FBD208. Jlink segger has this processor in the list.

Greetings to all members of the forum.

I bought some time ago a KessV2 and Ktag repository reworked by a seller who recommended me and said that their work was working very well.

So far the Ktag is doing very well, however, with the Kess I have not had good results.

With Ktag I have read / Written EDC17CP20 and other high-end control units and everything has worked very well.
However with the Kess I have tried to read several lower end ECUs (IAW4MV, 4TV, 4BV, Siemens Simos 3PG) and I have not been able to read them.

One of the main reasons that motivated me to buy the Kess was to be able to read this type of control unit, since in my country they are very common, but so far the results have not been good.

All these control units are on the list of supported by Kess, however, I have never been able to read it. I receive "Procedure Error" and others.

I contacted the seller and he told me that he tried to read real ECUs, that the control units he was trying to read are very old and that he does not believe that the Kess reads them.

This took me by surprise because I think that if these control units are within the list of units supported by the Kess, I should read them, right?

What do you think about it?

I am attaching some photos so you can check if it is a good reworked clone and if they have the correct components.

Could you give me your opinion

Hi , what version of ksuite do you use ? 2.23 or 2.25 ?

FW for kess: 5.017

I tried once with Ksuite_2.47 only for Kess and did not get good results either.
I believe the results do not depend on the Ksuite version.

It's the original "Made in China". The crystal may have been replaced, but the unit is not reworked. A few things can be found, but it's not a complete rework.
