What's the deal with those without reset button, what combination of firmware and hardware can be reset by software? For example, can kess v23 fw4.036 be reset with those token reset solutions?

Having murata filters is not enough to be a quality clone. Other components are also important

Following a post earlier in this thread I purchased Kess v2 from Bokins store @ aliexpress and I guess I received one of better clones.

Skojevac, have you had a chance to try it? How does it work? would you recommend to buy?
    Thanks.

Did not have a chance to try it out yet, it's -20, or more, these days, it's so freaking cold even inside garage so I think I better wait a few. I sure wanna test it asap, but I need to prepare additional power supply. Speaking of which I have a spare comp psu, so is it enough to use that? Or is it better to turn an old ups into power supply? It gives out steady 14v 7A. I'm new to this so is it good enough to connect that with car battery?
And I'm now curious, could see a female jack dangling and the end of an OBD connector, it that meant for power supply to be plugged in, or it's got another purpose?

I believe that's for a power supply. They recommend the 12v/1A for Kess V2 and 12v/2A for KTag.
But the power supply, according to what I see, it's only necessary with boot loader mode but if we can confirm that would be better.

    I've also bought a Bokins clone. :-)
Now I only have to wait 1 month till it arrives... :-(

Another quick question, besides the one about power supply, is it absolutely necessary to connect kess hardware to the car and to the computer before commencing installation? I hope to test the thing during the weekend so every bit of help is welcome.

Also, what would be the good/best version of ksuite to install? tnx!

The jack on obd cable to feed kline direct to ecu when not avail on obd socket ( should have blue single cable )

Install software ( net safe v2.08 ) & driver connect kess to laptop don't need vehicle to go through menu or check protocols lists but to test if working need to try few reads on various ecu types

be intresting to see if the P-channel transistors work so try test as much as you can if it was me i would read first post change out the ones marked PD

Thanks for making this clear, that would be this cable. Will pay attention at those transistors, but I admit I would rather not touch 'em since I suck at soldering.

Hello guys! I just Received my KESS V2. It is 4.036 version and I installed it with Ksuite V2.30. I haven't tested it yet. It looks like is the same as skojevac one. What do you think? Should I change something in order to work more reliable? Thanks!

I tested mine today, was able to read LR freelander td4, that's dde4/15c4. It took 4.5 minutes to read, no apparent issues. I forgot to disable engine fan, but fortunately it did not make me a problem.
@CrBooster Where did you get v2.30? I installed v2.28, no higher version was on a disc, and I'm not aware that there is one.
