And if the dot is the problem what is the working option here? Buy VVDI Prog M35160WT adapter and erase the mileage, change VIN or to buy Xhorse 35160WD chip and use that!????

Once i tried to change cluster on F25 and tried to change VIN without worrying about checksum and it worked without any problem. And since then i have done the same with F01 dash and F10 dash. Cars had no errors and dash was working perfectly so i went with the same option here on F30. After that i am doing coding with ESYS. Maybe ESYS does checksum in that EEP when coding the dash!?? Don't know exactly!

I know that both 35160WT chip almost works the same as D160. 35160WT just have better security on mileage part. So i was willing to try it.

But i still want to know witch is the best solution for this! Go with adapter (if it can erase mileage part...) or go with Xhorse 35160DW chip..?????

What you say is really impossible...whole vin doesn’t need checksum...one short vin needs...other short vin is part of coding and yes can be repaired with esys...also many dashes have vin in second eeprom which also needs checksum...other wise you have fault in diag, red dot and mileage mulfunction...

You say it is impossible but have you tried it!? Don't know why but it worked for me. That first F25 is my well known customer that comes to my shop for a lot of different repairs so it is in my field of view and no problems still. No red dot! No errors!

I have try a lot of things...
Why your dash not show red dot, maybe someone before you soldered the red dot led out of display... I can't say nothing smart about it, really...

But fact is, you change Eeprom in dash... And the Ori 35160wt Eeprom ID is not longer in connection with KI... the red dot will shine... Like the sun is shining each morning, from the east...
