    Yes it possible to read HC08 flash, you should choose HC08AZ60A_FLASH_SECURED I've clone few mcus from W639 EZS 1L0M, 4J74Y...etc

    In circuit, just need to have proper connections VSS, VDD, IRQ, RESET, XTAL and GND both connected
