    Post Renault Scenic strange fault

    I have this Renault scenic from 2005 1.6 engine that is acting strange (some time not all the time ) is not starting , dash si not working , fan is runing , ...no communication on diagnostic (OBD) at this point can network is down , all fuses are ok , upc module is ok , uch ok(in my opinion) .....any ideas ? ... THANX

    whenever i had a bad ecu, or bad flash etc fans work no coms...so i sugest check ecu!

    ecu is ok , UCH communication on CAN hispeed with UPC module is the problem ...but i do not know witch one is defect ...in my opinion UPC module is going crazy at some moment and is sending over other modules

    Hi not sure if your sorted but when you insert the card does the dash beep ? Then the cooling fan run after ? If so in front of the battery the can line to injection computer have corrosion in wire prob green wire, you need to open loom and pull / inspect loom, if you need further help no probs however hope your already sorted

    another situation with same symptoms was sorted some time ago, there is a big plug under passenger seat (UK) under carpets. All contacts was green, just touched and about 15 wires comes off... was nightmare to sort, cause most wires was same color, but connects different things.

    That plug under pass seat is handbrake can h&l rear door controls & rear window controls. Have seen this plenty and can bring down vehicle can bus system causing weird no related faults in other places
    happy days normal day fixing French cars

    Hi. Thanks for posting this info. My Scenic shows all sorts of faults so I think I need to look into this. Also when I plug in my Clip clone the car goes mad...sometimes.

    Fault ultimately traced to faulty "Accessory Relay" mounted above the glovebox. This 60A relay provides power to the ABS computer, heater fan, radio, etc. When not working faults displayed were - electronic fault, check steering, steering not locked and would take two presses of the start/stop switch to stop the engine. Parking brake wouldn't auto apply as well. Engine fan could continue to run after turning off the ignition.
