It is possible to renew 2nd hand remotes by resteting(flashing) pcf7941.

and who has got the firmware to flash the pcf7941 ??

Also I dont know how reading these is meant to corrupt them - This must be a problem with the reader etc and must work ok with a decent reader else how on earth does the car read the key when its programmed without corrupting it?

Buy, read f... key then you will see. This is from my experience, if you don't believe, try it.

it doesnt corrupt a programmed and locked key , so these can be read and cloned with jma , silca cloners etc , the problem is when a virgin non programmed key is read in a cloner , afterwards it will not always code to a car , 3d group as well as others sent out a warning on this some time ago and many people have fallen foul of this to date.

I mean it must be a fault with the reader, before the key is programmed the car has to read the key to get the data to program the key

    Could this solution work?

fresh car keys are listing this key as one they can unlock.

I would love to unlock these, I know its an algo of the pincode or a locked key would never be able to program to a new cim.

    just dont know the rest

can't be fault with readers cos they all do it

Suggest its a "protection" feature of the chip to corrupt contents - activated when a reader accesses blocked sections.
(a guess cos no datasheet in front of me )

The data corruption occurs when trying to read all pages, not just reading in coil to see whats inside, this is safe to do.

Mate in Codecard.lt you have prepared pcf7941, buy new transponder and swap with faulty...you will solve your problem. If your remote key is manufactured by Valeo.
