Think you've got poor or no signal getting to the reciever
check your cable going into box,f connectors splitters etc
these are general cable and sat symptoms for whats happening

failing that you may have a dodgy tuner but i would doubt that.
i've set up a few of these with no tuner issues
    generally good box

Try scanning provider instead of net id for cable and make sure sat is set to not configured if your not using it, and as previously mentioned check area in abm

yup agree with other posts as well
I assumed in my post that you had tuning issues after scanning with correct net id,sat configuration etc etc

Menu>setup>service searching>tuner configuration then select dvb-c/t and make sure used service scan type is set to provider then set provider to scan as VM UK (6952). That is essentially a full service scan and will pick up all services including the regional ones which won't work in your area so you then have to go through and sort out what works and what doesn't. Alternatively use abm after setting up tuner in the above method for your area only.

changed the provider to my wolves/telford then provider to scan VM, saved and automatic scan. It carried out a sat search, Dont have sat or terrestrial Ariel so it found 0. the DVB-C scan also found 0. but if i do an automatic scan on my q5 it picks up the lot.

if you dont have a satellite feed in Tuner A then disable it from the menu 'Service Searching' and set Tuner B to DVB-C then as HH pointed out above set your Net ID and VM UK (6952).

Perhaps try an Autobouquet scan instead that is if you have it installed on the receiver, Again its located in the Service Searching menu

I have everything set up and working well, the last thing i have to solve is why i do not have any channel names for HD channels, just N/A. When conducting the channel scan i noted that the HD channels were named. I can watch all HD channels they are just not named.

Any help on how to resolve this would be appreciated
