    I must connect rst to gnd then Power on cluster and can read immo over obd? When it has no key?

    Do service mode eep manualy and you safe 100%
    And same have eep backup if something goes wrong. Make service eep is max 3-5min
    Renault ECU tool / IO terminal / A.S.W

    How do you go in service mode? With VCDS or is there another way?

    By eeprom
    Remove dash
    Remove eep 24lcxx
    Read and save
    Load it to vvdi2 and it will give you a new dump
    Write it and install dash
    Now you can read pin and cs by obd if you don't have a working key
    Actions speak louder than words

    you can also find epp connection near NEC , and read EPP via BDM points
    anyway , more practice ..........make you more professional .

    It is actually not RST pin. This is SDA data line to eeprom. When you ground this pin before turning on dash, it cannot read the eeprom data. It will allow access to bootloader mode because immo is temporarily not active.

    deciding between this VVDI 2 bmw commander, and CGDI bmw,,, i just want to do CAS3 by OBD,

    any failures for VVDI 2 for this? downgrading CAS3+ etc all working fine ?

    Forget vvdi 2 for downgrade very bad for this

    Very bad if you not follow instructions or read manual. It tells to open CAS and make backup. Also, is MANDATORY to use a good power source to give feed to car. Never failed if you follow the instructions. If you want to do it in seconds, this is not your tool

    only bmw jobs i will take are BMW slot keys, 2005-2011,,, and mainly BMW MINI 2007-2014

    i hope they are mainly CAS3 jobs, so straight forward OBD. but was just wondering if CAS3+ i came across, it will be possible with VVDI obd or not, so thanks for the answers
