    Hi guys....
Tried to do a 650i with FEM spare keys.
When I said Backup Coding it gave a message something like UNKNOWN VERSION -> USE BMW E-SYS TO BACKUP CODING.

I got the yellow ethernet cable thing but no software.

Is there any other solution as I don't want to loose coding on the vehicle as the client will be really upset......

If you don't have tools to repair just don't do it and you will not mess your customer... Easy... There's a lot of tutorials about e-sys, just Google it, but you have to LEARN, and if you don't know what are you doing you can mess the car too...

It's your decision, but normally I don't touch if I don't know what I'm doing... I then I don't loose money, I earn peace and tranquility...

Have you tried to give 12v on pin 1 in diagnostic port?

    Obd pinout is standard.

Pin 16 positive all the time
    Pin 1 positive after ignition

    BMW F33 AKL success.

Read MEVD1724 ECU using VVDI Prog to get ISN.
Then prepare FEM unit with VVDI2 and add key using ISN.

Yes, but you really do not need to do that to read diagnostic.
Turn hazards on for 30 seconds, at same time hold brake and turn light switch off/on few times.

After 30 seconds you will be able to communicate with module 46- CCM
