    Thanks mate

Do you write ABS coding or save file just in case it’s lost ?
How do I put new cluster into service mode ?

Read abs coding, once you change the cluster you may have to write it back.

Service mode- you have all steps in vvdi2.

I tried to read a Bosch MED 17.5 from an 09 VW Passat. It connects, but will not crack the security. I emailed xhorse about the issue and was told they don't have the password for some of these. This is the tricore 1766 processor.

Thanks for your reply Comizelu 👍🏻

This is the first cluster I’ve changed can I pick your brain for a few answers please

    Steps:

    1. Read and save ABS coding old cluster
    2. Read and save immo data old cluster
    3. Put new cluster into service mode
    4. Fit new cluster
    5. Load immo data to new cluster
    6. Start car & test

Question is this what’s needed to put new cluster into service mode ?

Service mode because probably you don't have a working key for new cluster

No don’t have key for new cluster

It’s the step/steps to put into service mode I’m not clear on. Is it just a button or is there a procedure?

If there is a fault or problem with new cluster will old one still work and start car etc. ( works now just problem with rev counter )

Sorry for questions haven’t had this tool long and don’t want to balls this job up

    Cheers 🍻

    Go to
    Key learn - immo 4 VW- cdc3217 24c32.
On the bottom you will see service mode button.
Press button and a window will pop-up.
    All steps are there.

If its a problem with rev counter why don’t you just replace motor on it?

Can't set super chip using vvdi2.
Anyone tested with latest software version?

EDIT: used another laptop and it worked fine.

thank you, just to corroborate vvdi reads SOME ecu's ISN thru OBD and some others I'll have to use vvdi prog or ktag to extract ISN. is this correct?

also I don't have vvdi prog but which other equipments compliments this device in order to work more efficiently.
