I think you makes MQB 48 chip, since mid 2020 keys goes with MQB 5C chip. VVDI2 can't recognize them even.

If vvdi2 does not recognise them then it is MQB2 System

I am now unable to go further as the fem unresponsive. How do I get around this issue.

I Had similar issue last week.
I removed eeprom again and wrote file about 10 times and verify also many times. Clean all the pins with fine file. CLean PCB contacts and applu new solder and flux. Then solder back.
Hopefully it will work because mine worked after redo 10 times write file.

    Hi there guys.

So I came across a few FEM on BMW where VVDI2 gives the message to Update using BMW E-SYS.
I have the Yellow Ethernet E-SYS cable.
So I would like to confirm if I could make do with the PSDZ Lite files or do we need the PSDZ full files for this job? Is it safe to do on bench?

Also what I see is that VVDI2 is now lacking some Features which their competitors are now supporting. Example read ISN on MSV80 work wonderful on CGDI but VVDI2 say version not supported.
Is Xhorse now forcing us to buy their VVDI BMW tool?
Why not include the function here and gives us full functions of the BMW TOOL? Maybe charge us $200 for the activation and give us the same features here. Why make us buy more hardware for $1000 again?

I did this a while ago when i was just messing about with a spare bdc unit i had.
I think you'll need psdzdata full file but from an earlier release, although vvdi2 says 'update' it actually means downgrade, i did it on the bench.

There's also a newer version of the BMW tool out soon!
