VVDI 2 new tool arrived

I also remember couple of days ago I could not read Key Info Data from 2005 E90 CAS2. I never had this problem before.

But it hasn't been updated for months. Maybe it was some timeout integrated in the software. Time to throw it in the bin and buy the tablet, right Xhorse?

This happend on this last update softaware 6.8.2. Maybe they spect we spend money in your new tools... But disabling functions that before worked well is not good

Audi A6 4F/2010 how to Add key with vvdi2

I read on vvdi2 blog that I should read J518 eeprom 9S12DT256 (car after 2009) but there is a warning that I should do it on my own risk. The article is from 2017, is there possibility that is old information.
Any idea how to properly work on this car via OBD and not brick it.

They haven't updated the machine for a long time, is it dead ??? because they do not implement anything it is no longer worth buying

They have a new tablet. Of course they will stop updating the older cheaper tools. We have to buy the tablet.
I will be happy if they prove me wrong but I doubt it.

I asked xhorse a few months ago if they are phasing out vvdi2. The answer was "absolutely not". But it seems it was not true

And you believed them? Even if they don't want to phase out VVDI2, VVDI MB and the other of the old bunch they will be forced to do it because sales and profit for these devices are low and for the tablet are considerable higher. They have to feed their children with something and they don't have fees for software updates. They sell cheap tools after all.
