Just read the ESL J518 by obd, if you have a working key.
Or with a programmer like xprog or vvdiprog.
    1L59W or the 3L40KEEPROM 2KB
    FLASH 128KB

And copy this in to the replacement part.
Make sure that u have the correct partnumber.

    Hi Samic
Can you please check that logs. When copy immo data on Golf MK5 dash from pre 2006 car into after 2006. Shows me ERROR on display. I had to type all data down manually and make new keys and all worked fine.

    Thanks

Of course this will happen, bacuse checksum is different. Not just with VVDI, any tool will do that, I think.
You have to do it manually like you did it on the end.

    Hi....

Seems the VVDI 2 has many problems with the Renault key modules. It codes keys to eeprom but all bytes are swapped. So can they please solve this problem. For the time being how do we manually swap the bytes? Is there any easy way instead of typing out again each and every byte?

Thanks Yugo but I can't agree with it mate. Did it plenty times and never had problems with it. Its not conversion to white clocks but just simple red-to-red clocks swap on mk5 platform. Like 2007 clocks going into 2005 car.

There is a keytool, that allows you to make dealerkeys with the known CS.
