Oh really? I didn't realise the ISN always stays the same, even when the car starts, thanks for confirming.
Maybe I am confusing the ISN with the encryption key for the CAS3+.
I am on ISTAP CAS3++ version but will be downgrading it tomorrow to make things easier, I have an EEPROM flash from before the daten upgrade.

Just wanted to update here, I was tricked by the advert and actually purchased a clone. It only ran the old VVDI2 1.2.2 software and was useless for my 2011 with ISTAP CAS3+.

Correct. The FVDI bricked my CAS when it tried to download the firmware inside the app too. I think it would work well with CAS2 and CAS3 unencrypted, but for CAS3+ and ISTAP it doesn't support new enough versions of VVDI2 software. It seems to work very well on old VW's, but not good for BMW.

Fvdi 2015 done the job very easy no problem

vvdi also do that correct ...did Micronas clusters ...hmm.... over 300 psc ....... and no problem at all
