hi GM cluster masters
what LED are you guys using to to upgrade bulbs..????
for 03-06 what LED?
and for 07-13 what LED?
DON'T JUST SAYPRESS IT.....
I used 5mm flat led's in my cluster. 07+ uses plcc4 3528 common cathode

Yes, I cut the plastic piece off and trim the anode and cathode down so it is closer to the cluster board. While changing colors and what not in my cluster, some of the led's had a resistor on the anode/cathode and some had a tiny resistor surface mounted to the bottom of the pcb under the smd. When I had the kind with the resistor on the anode/cathode, I just bent them around. I have changed the color in my cluster 5 or 6 times.
Well...I sold the cluster that I had fixed and I was changing the mileage for the guy and I accidentally hit "auto mode" after it was showing all zeros in the code box. It looks like it overwrote all of the code because when I power it up it only shows the mileage, it no longer has the steering wheel controls or even the trip meter. I found a bin file on here for a 2005 3500 and tried to write it to the chip but it keeps failing, here I was being all proud of myself and that quickly went away.
What year and make is the cluster you are working on?
2005, the chip doesn't say atmel on it like the one in my truck now, it just says 56585 xceq
I tried to read it as a 25020 and a 95020 and it fails on the verify not on the write. It won't let me erase it either.

You are not reading the right chip. Look for the atmel chip in location u15 or u16 on the board
Oh, the one in my truck was at U16 but on this board the atmel chip is on U15.
