    While we're waiting, a tip for everyone on these 2003-2006 GM trucks. No speedo and odometer not counting, no check engine light and transmission shifts fine (rules out bad VSS). The problem isn't in the cluster, it's in the VSS circuit from PCM to cluster. Seen a couple with aftermarket stereos wired wrong, VSS is used in factory radio for speed controlled volume. Another with VSS circuit grounded somewhere, didn't bother chasing it, just ran a new wire from PCM to cluster. A bad factory radio can also cause this, seen once.
