Hi,
I have had a genuine car prog since before the days of the clones.
A customer asked me to reset the airbag module on a (2012 fiesta with a 2012 dated srs module) so I contacted Codecard, gave them the relevent info - year, - part number - etc and was told to order upgrade 5.38. on line.
This I did but have now discovered the car (Fiesta) is on a change over year and the software is the wrong item for my job, I am told I need 2013 software 5.40 (they should have known from the part number, so they couldn't have tested the software they sold me.)
I contacted them, explained that I ordered the upgrade according to their instructions (the part number and year I supplied as correct) and would they please swap it over.
The replay was - NO pay for the upgrade 5.40 - by sales.
To cap it all the correct plug is shown in the 5.38 listing and the 5.40 listing is nothing like the plug I have.
Codecard are being pig headed over a simple solution which is to switch over the software .
They will loose customers fast if they keep treating us like this, infact they aleardy have because I have ordered a clone xprog 5.5 at less than the price of the upgrade on my carprog.
Oh and while we are in whining mode, when you get the correct software and get it to work it doesn't clear the crash data! thats costs another 30euro per dump to clear it!
So someone who supported the genuine article is wondering Why?
