Finding out where a car is registered or if it's been in a crash

Hi folks,

Is there a way of finding out where a car is registered or if it's been in a crash?

I'm going to see a car and I want to know before I go if the 'owner' is trading or if they genuinely owned the care for a long period of time.

Also, if it's been in a crash. I know I can do a HPI check but does that give you thing kind of information?

Well if you know anyone in the police they can look it up for you, and should be able to give you all that information.

on the new reg certs look on the bottom of front page. it should state if it,s been damaged repaired. all catagory c cars ( damage repairable) are meant to go to vosa for a test before the dvla will reregister them
