In the case of x100pro they are disabling options with the new ''updates'' , i tried a panamera 2009 tonight, with the old soft i never had problems with communication with the car, the latest update doesn't work anymore. Looks like OBDSTAR disable functions from x100pro to sell other tools. And they promised updates for 3 years, the last 2 years i hardly had a update. I know 3 years is too good to be true, but don't advertise with it. I don't like this company anymore. Now they even disable options. Very BAD!

i don't think its true what you are saying.

obdstar x300m is new version of x100 pro. And with new software version the panamera also didn't work anymore with x300m.

(I did the exact same car many times before with same x300m but with older software version, then it work with no problem. now new software don't work..)

So the x300m will be also out of production, you must buy a x300 DP pad soon! many members are complaining about options that doesn't work anymore after ''updates''. Why would someone update something that works fine? Explain to me.

i don't want to argue you but I'm just saying there might be another explanation.. I don't know exactly what. maybe there is new programmer and he changes stuff, for example for what he thinks is faster programming, but then he f*cks up.. it sounds stupid I know, but there could be a lot of reasons why new software don't work.

x300m is not getting out of production. actually the opposite is true:. the prices are getting higher, its 309usd now.

and don't forget, there are only few people who know old software versions do work. when someone recently buy x300m and a car don't work, they think it's a shitty tool, they will never buy another obdstar product, they will buy some other tool.. like smelecom clone or mt401 or carprog or whatever

i think they are totally f***ed thier reputation. I can work with my x100pro (with the old sw) but i'll never buy an anothor obdstar product. The don't respect their customers even at "chinese level"

See Dr.peter. they don't do it on purpose so we need to buy other obdstar tools.

But the question is. why does it happen? and why don't they solve it.. I'm quite sure obdstar conpany reed this, so lets wait for an solution!

There will be no solution, i contacted OBDSTAR today, first they never heard about a 3 years free update for X100PRO ( i proved it with a copy of my order), then they say the porsche cayenne is not supported ( i made 6 of them because they where in my list), (with the new updates it doesn't work anymore) and they say don't use the updates, download the old updates from the OBDSTAR website. hahahah i know enough I told them thanks for you ''help''. They say your are welcome (what a company!)

Nothing new has been added.
Probably bug fixes and improvements.
But it is possible that some options were limited.
