From the picture I see you are not able to perform this function with this particular car and BSI through OBD as it's says "BOOT MODE". didn't try to read this in boot mode but you will need to remove BSI and cable adapter connected properly from diagram.

    To all, be careful

    FVDI 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019 and fvdi 2 all are online version.

They always were blocked anytime by STIC company zhu engineer.

    Hi friends

Thank you Fly for your information. If I add a second battery to avoid draining the first, do you think I could keep it longer? thank you in advance.

No new battery will not fix it, if batterry dies or is removed RAM memory from processor gets deleted and device is then only for throw in garbage.

Hi friends Thanks Exxl for the answer but it doesn't really answer the question.

If I solder a new battery to the back of the PCB in parallel (without removing the current battery) is there any way to keep it ?

Example: the current battery gives 3.25V, i solder a second battery with a switch on the back of the PCB, when the first drains (2.8V or less) i activate the mini switch to turn on the second battery soldered to the 'rear and replace the first with another battery with switch, when the voltage of the second battery drops to 2.8V or less i activate the first which will have 3.3V and so on ...

in this way it would be possible to keep it for a long time ?

Thanks for your advices. I saw some mini CR2032 battery slot with switch and two long threads (+ and -) to be soldered on Alie,

I will share the links if you confirm this method could have worked.

    Thank you.

FVDI 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019 ,FVDI 2 and all version SVCI were blocked three ways:

    1. STIC zhu engineer can block your tool by Server
    2. STIC zhu engineer can block your tool by update
    3. When the battery dies, the device will be locked

No, but you can download 2019 software from STIC site if you have SVCI 2019 interface.

Special functions in last version of software doesn't work in SVCI 2019 or 2020. Read the STIC site. You can use previous versions. You CAN'T run SVCI 2018 software on SVCI 2019 or 2020.
