Correct. The blue wire goes to pin 18 I believe. Does not have an effect on anything. So you can use the VVDI2 obd cable with MB as long as you don't need the blue wire for K line

Anyone was able to Renew Original NEC key V40. Using Adapter with Soldering method ,Adapter is V3 .
Anytime try to renew get error 1004?????

It read key but can not renew , V57 renew with out any problems. So adapter should be fine.
I want to see if anyone was able to renew V40 or V51 with adapter that you need to solder chip?

I had same error with V40, honestly didnt notice for V51 but will check, I have few chips which fail renew.
