    Hello to all,
Yesterday I couldn’t calculate the key password for Mercedes 204 2011, I read the data from the key and the lock, and when I load the data for calculating the password, this is what I’ve attached the screen below. And today the same problem.??????????.JPG

that one , you already done the calculation , as the tips says , you just need to ' query result ' and it will show the password ,you dont have to upload it again

Im looking for some help from anyone in here.

    Last week I had a customer with a 2005 e240 w209.

There original key wouldn't start the car, and the remote would only work when held up against the door handle.

They have only had the car for a month, and the remote has been like that since they bought the car.

I made a new key with prog, starts the car every time, but my remote won't work at all.
(The original still works when held to the door handle).

Frequency is 315mhz. I tried another 2 keys just in case of a dodgy one, and still no luck.

I have read somewhere that the original Mercedes remotes have 2 ways of working (1 via infared, and 2 from a frequency).

Does anyone know if this is correct?

Because to me, if original works (only when held to door handle), and the new one doesn't, then it must be dodgy keys (unless there is 2 different receivers).

Anyway, iv probably over thought it all, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, Buzz

Which VVDI SW do you use?
I had this problem about two-three updates back.
It turned out to be a bug in writing BE keys key start but no working remote.
(But expensive other type key worked key and remote).
This was solved, at next update.
If this is the case, update and rewrite the key.

    Hi

Yes you are correct. They have 2 types of receiver. One is RF and other IR.
I found a few cars with faulty RF receiver but when you put IR to door handle it works.
Do you have frequency machine? Does the new key give out frequency?
Are you using Xhorse keys or china BE?
Xhorse must set frequency on VVDI software otherwise it will not work.

Thanks for answering my question about the 2 different types of receivers.

It will be good to let the customer know what to look for.

    That's great to know!

Yes original gave out frequency 315, the 2 remotes I tried where both 315mhz as well, both xhorse remotes.

it will sure work, but from factory they all set to 315mhz standard, then for USA market not need anything to do and work from begin
only for other markets need to check what freq you need to use - then set it to right value
    many thanks to friend kevfield

    Hi,
Extreme MB Tool is proven to be very good with SonderHash,
Maybe they offer only SonderHash calculation as a service.
    regards
