Hello everyone. I have a mbz c class w204 with a bad key, trying to make a key, with the IR, AKL, I can not. The IR can not read it. I have two IR Cables and both can not read it. I can communicate with obd2 Connection. I need to make a key for this car. Any ideas what could be the issue? The error I get is DATA ACQUISITION FAILED! FAILED TIMES:0. The green bar never mover from 0%. If I can’t do the reading via vvdi mb can someone help me with the bdm reading this Eis???? Thank you again. Mbz c class 2009

One more thing, I have just noticed, I can read the Eis with IR on the EIS TOOLs menu but not in PASSWORD CALCULATION. I have another known good Eis with a key. I have tried that as AKL again IR won’t read it in pass calc.

I'm sure he is not talking about w204..
You don't have option to read pass by IR.

i have 2 IR Cables and both are doing the same. The Eis menu I can read it via IR, but at the PASSWORD CALC. section it won’t

It’s a 2009 mbz c class w204, the owner doesn’t have a key, AKL. Again, on the bench I can read Eis menu via OBD2 and IR. But password calc. Won’t read the IR, I have another good Eis and that one also won’t read. Confused

Thank you but I don’t have the adapter and it does have the option for the regular reading, and I have updated the software and firmware. I have done AKL before with other models and no issues. What else it could be?
