I've loaded the EIS data with password and ticked auto clear TP & personalised but when I re-read it the emulator isnt personalised and ESL Status is closed.
    Is this faulty emulator.

    HI there

    Need some expert advice here.
I have a client who dropped his key on a W203. Tried repairing key to no Avail. Told him we need to make new key. Removed EIS to make key by eeprom dump.... Read by vvdi prog. Failed few attempts and then it read, but most of the file blank.
Tried reading with my other tools such as Xprog, R270, AK500 and all read the same file which is almost blank. Seems like the EEPROM 1L59W has lost it's data.
I have eeprom dumps from similar vehicles. What can be done to get this car going?
Can I load another eeprom and make key, but how to match the EIS to the ECU then?
I have VVDI BGA + VVDI Prog + Launch Pro + Xprog 5.55

    Thanks alot

It's important to check if the flash is still OK. If it is erased you may need another EIS.
For eeprom you need one from the same part number and same model of car.

May someone else also confirm this as I'm not 100% sure.

Flash is fine. The EIS will still respond if read by IR. But all fields show 0000 or FFFF.
SO the EIS isn't DEAD. Eeprom is gone blank. But how to match new eeprom to old ECU.

As far as I know - you don't need to match the EEPROM. Matching is needed if flash is gone too.
Just get a compatible EEPROM, make it virgin and go.

    Latest Ver 4.8

    Add key. Not keyless.
Edit: It could have been Keyless. But the start knob was removed. Just using the key. I didn't look at the door handle at that time, so not really sure.

W251 very early model like 2006_2007. Read EIS, and save OK.

When starting to do the calc. It can not read the key placing it in the IR slot in the VVDIMB.

I have never seen this before.
Only when key is not working either in EIS, and will not start vehicle.

This one starts and run fine.

Tested the tool with BE key later, reads fine.
    Any clue?
Tried to do DK search, didn't find any when searching.

Default vvdi mb and w164 2010

hi , im trying to read and extract password out of a w164 2010 ezs on the bench out of the car. ive connected vvdi mb with power adaptor and obd cable and 12 v direct into power adaptor as explained , however im not getting any coms with eis. has anyone had this with the cable and power adaptor provided by xhorse. if i read it with avdi i can get coms but needs gateway connected.

im trying to figure-out how to read eis pass with vvdimb?

The power adapter supposed to bypass the gateway thats why there are only 2 connectors on the cable

VVDI MB TOOL power adapter supports gateway emulation function. Without real gateway, you can you this adapter directly OBD communication with W164, W164 2009-, W209, W211 (require special connection cables)

I have my eis setup like this but noncoms to eis .

    Any suggestions will help!
