two years ago i made egr off in edc 17cp14 and have no problem with DPF

Don't touch the DTC's and you should be OK. Keep EGR connected to avoid problems.

Yep temp wont get above 176?need more to regen dpf.

Dont understand your solution...dont touch dtc and keep egr conected.

i am too looking out for egr delete solution in an audi with same edc17c46 ecu.
i agree with gttuning... basically, i certainly want to remove that heavy egr assy with all the super technology to cool down the recirculated - exhaust gas tempreture.. and IMO, when we switch off the egr, whats the need to keep all that hardware which is useless...
it would be great help for me if any one could help me turn off the egr and i can discard the entire EGR assy!

Then i guess you need remove the assy, fix all and then go and delete present dtcs.

If you keep EGR connected and just disable by hysteresis why you have to disable the DTC?

off topic -->I had one 1.6 cayc engine with egr off from a tuner and I saw the car doing regen...a lot of smoke was coming out but not from exhaust pipe the smoke was coming out from turbo!!!!
