EDC17CP02 Tuning Protection ??

Hi All,

How can i check of the car have TP (tuning protection) ?
The car is from 2007 and is a BMW 118d 143hp

Ecu is edc17cp02. Can it be read and write by obd without any problems ?

I think you can read it via obd without any problems

For this year you can should be able to read/write by obd but if somebody worked on file before you he can block obd. Best way for edc17 is boot mode, bmw is even easyer because ecu don't have silicone and opening it is not a pain

I think it can by obd read and write, but i am not sure.

If you can read it by obd doesn't mean you can write it by obd. If when you write moded file it gives error at 100%, immediatly write original one back, don't turn ignition off

i have this ecu in my car and i read in boot mode all times, i?m Coward

you can read and write for sure by OBD!
its V1 protection!
galletto v54 can bypass this type of protection by OBD

I mean Fgtech give's the message "WAIT DATA PROCESS"
That is the bypass for protection ?

yes it is!galletto worked for me and i had to wait for data process 3min
