One question, is this full activation and is it ok to connect to internet after this process? Do updates cause a problem going forward. Sorry, I'm new to this and doing it for my brother.

Yes it is full activation. There is no problem to connect to the internet after activating the software. No online update. You must find, download and activate newer software, for example 2015.1 / 2 or 2016.0. In my opinion the best software is 2013.3, 2014.2 and 2014.3. SW 2015.1 / 2 and 2016.0 are unfinished and have errors .(respect for those who did this) However, I have 2013.1, 2014.2 / 3 and 2016.0 on one laptop plus wow 5.008.2.
