Personaly i make checksum with Ols for genius (but sometime no work) and pcm flash make checksum when flash for 90% ecu.

Well... today it let me down, tried to read a mk1 Focus RS, wake up error... ori Kess Slave of a friends didn't seem to want to read either... it tells you to turn off the dashboard and then it pretends to read for 30 seconds before then telling you to turn on the dashboard and then k-suite froze/crashed back to the protocol selection screen.

EDC17C46 VW Scirocco 2012... Anyone tested? Would like to flash over OBD with race evo patch for OBD writing but when ID'ing reports unknown ECU. Anyone tried it? Not sure I fancy the risk atm! Trying to get hold of a Kess V2 genuine or new genius

I read the thread for the new genius. I have a problem with an OPEL ANTARA 2.2L 16V CDTI 2WD 120kW/161HP DCM3.7 software version 0180551DAB and update version 01805526AB.
I deleted the DPF from the original file but the new genius tells the checksum could be not correct.
Can I proceed to write the mod file? How can I check if the checksum is correct?
I read you wrote the checksum must be calculated only with RACE EVO software that I haven't.

Please, help me as I'm really stuck with my friend.
do you know if I can rewrite the original file after writing a mod file with a wrong checksum?

Post file in chiptuning section and ask for checksum after you can flash without problem.checksum can be calculate with winols.

i think about buying a new tool for my own cars and friends only - especially for newer cars 2014+.
Any News here for New Genius compared to Kess v2? (china clone)
the Genius sounds nice to make new VAG via OBD!? does that work, or still only via boot mode?
the kess is a good clone tool, but can we say the new genius clone is an update?
