vw golf bcb problem

This car is 1.6 16v.The problem is that is starting very difficult wiith bad smell.When starts working good on idle about 10 seconds and then the car has missfires very bad like explode rpm not stable at all no responce from throttle unit and swiitching off.What i have done until now.I have checked compression ok,replaced throttle and o2 sensor nothing,sparks,crankshaft sensor nothing,the fuel pump is ok with psi,replaced map sensor but nothing.When starts then i have code about map sensor something for correlation impausible.Also tried another ecu and injectors but without any result.Any ideas?

Check timing marks. Could be out of sync of a few degrees.

Remove air filter.
Clean throttle body, only the portion that you see. Do not disconnect or remove the TB.

Is the fuel filter as old as the car?
Remove and shake shake the filter, empty the filter in a bin see how many black things coming out.

Follow the cranckcase ventilation hose.
See 1 wiring and 1 connector attached to the hose?
Disconnect the connector so the resistor inside the hose is not supplied.

Try to start.


Disconnet other useless things such as:
* O2 sensor

Remember to reconnect all the disconnected things when you find the fault.

How many silencer(s) in the exhaust line?
Could happen that the internal pieces are now detached and partially clogging the line.

Have a look again at fuel pump and timing also.

Ah BCB is the one with the silly round PCV valve that cause lot of trouble.
Maybe time to renew that PCV.
