Hello,
I have CD 40 USB unit, but I cant pair it with the display in my '09 Astra. I know the security code of my car, and the code of the new device (CD 40 USB). Im using OPCOM (v1.45) with VAUX-COM_120309a software, but the CD 40 USB isn't listed in the EHU page so I cant deactivate the theft prot and activate it with my car's code. Please help.
First of all you should to deactivate cd40 USB. You can do it with deactivated display. Or, as shooting said, you should to read dump from cd40 USB, then write modified dump with disabled protection.
Opcom can activate and deactivate protection for cd40 USB, just choose another ehu from proposed list (for example, last cdc40 opera). I was doing the same trick many times
This is the dump of my CD 40 USB. The code should be 2773.
I tried with choosing different unit, then go to Programming and Deactivate Theft Protection.
The OPCOM says deactivation is OK, but when I go to Measuring Blocks - theft protection stays at ID OK.
And when I try to activate theft protection with the car security code (2503) - programming failed as expected.
I will try again.
Code from cd40 usb is 2773.
The main cause of your broblem is different codes for radio and display.
You can try to change 4e4-4e7 from "97 38 49 69" to "97 3A 4E 69" (changing carpass from 2773 to 2503 ) and then try to deactivate.
Before deactivating check if the security time in display and radio not activated. Also check mid-speed canbus configuration, it must be the same
